Join us as we kick off the 2014 Washington Town & Country Fair with the 18th Annual Run/Walk on Saturday, August 2nd. Pick your race…For the more serious runner the 5 mile course takes you thru the historic town of Washington, Missouri. The route includes challenging inclines and rolling hills plus a sweet flat stretch along the banks of the Missouri River. The 5K course is a shortened version but still allows you to enjoy some of Washington's best features as you walk or run. So that the kids are not left out, the 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8 am for ages 12 and under.
All the festivities begin at the Lions Lake pavilion on Veterans Drive in the Washington Fairgrounds at 6:15 am with race day registration available. The post race party includes the healthy stuff plus pizza, ice cream and beverages. Medals awarded in each age group and a Brown’s New Balance Gift Package to the overall male and female runner in each race. A gift package is also awarded to the first place finisher in the Kid’s Fun Run. And don't forget to return to Washington August 6th thru the 10th so you can "Meet Me at the Fair".
